Mozilla Open Badges

Teachers and educators in the UK have a unique opportunity to learn how to create Open Badges at Shireland Collegiate Academy in Birmingham on April 9th.

If you are interested in designing Open Badges in your school this will be an ideal introduction.

Mozilla Open Badges are a new global standard to recognise skills and achievements. They are radically changing the way we see qualifications; from abstract measures of knowledge towards a tool to connect talent with employment, work experience and further education.

From badge programme design, to creating global badge solutions, DigitalMe help schools, learning organisations and employers to use badges.

Makewaves, the safe social learning platform for schools, is the first school platform in the UK to integrate the Mozilla Open Badge Standard. Working closely with schools such as Shireland Collegiate Academy, Makewaves have developed tools to make it easy for schools to create their own open badge missions and share these with students.

Shireland Collegiate Academy

This practical session will provide you with the knowledge and tools to implement open badges at your school. The day will be particularly useful for schools with practical ideas of badges to create for your students or staff.

The day will be delivered by DigitalMe and Makewaves in partnership with Shireland Collegiate Academy and Whole Education.
